Trinidad area in Bolivia is located on the edge of the Amazon and is an area of great poverty and marginalisation. The project will install a community FM radio station that will serve the indigenous councils and other marginalised communities in the area. The station will be the voice through which the community will denounce abuses and land grabbing and will allow the community to express their needs and opinions to the local authorities. The installation of the FM station will strengthen the local indigenous councils, and will help them to generate programmes for community development which reflect the real needs of the indigenous communities. The project will also empower the community by creating an Indigenous Integration Community Network.
